Suguru Geto is a former friend and classmate of Satoru Gojo, one of the main protagonists. He was once a sorcerer studying at Tokyo Metropolitan Magic Technical School alongside Gojo. However, as the story progresses, it is revealed that Suguru has chosen a different path.

Geto became disillusioned with the idea of jujutsu sorcery being used solely for the protection of humanity. He believes that the weak should be weeded out and that the strong should have the power to control and shape the world. With this ideology in mind, Suguru Geto becomes a sorcerer focused on the preservation and advancement of cursed techniques.
